What would be different in this trip is that I am 10 years older. Of course it was completely different! From streets to the people! One of the greatest things I wanted to do was to visit Abbey Road. I never did at the first time I was in London so this time I needed to do it badly! And what amazing experience. All the cars stops when you are about to cross the famous zebra crossing! I made a video of it.
Another great thing to do in London is going to Covent Garden and having a good pub meal. The pints are pricey, but you can enjoy a round with friends and it is worthy! We had some great pubs visiting around the city with special friends. I would say that I also found the biggest fish & chip shop of earth at Candem Town! Bonkers! I just didn’t ask for it because I heard fish & chips in London are not that great as the Walsall one!
Another great thing in London is something like this, for example. . You can find everything you want without going too far! The shops are unusual and even it is a big store indeed just London can be so multicultural. Not to mention that I can hear Portuguese speakers all the time. And I also can say that Oxford Street It is like a 25th of March st. in Sao Paulo.
It is not an exaggerated comparison. There are so much people on it and so many camelôs that sometimes it is impossible to walk by the streets.
So the best option is always to find the pub and stay in. The one we found in Candem was absolutely fantastic.Great atmosphere and nice soundtrack , of course!
The weather was beautiful, proper summer time, and since it was summer and staying at travelodges always is a good option if you don’t mind about luxury or posh staying in lol
We had plenty of underground trips during our London days and it is worthy if you have a big distance but remember that London has plenty of things to see by walking and the proper messages on tube-which is always full of tourists 24/7- encourage us to walk around the city.
My favourite place in London this time would be The school of Life visiting that just didn’t work because it was closed during August and I didn’t have a clue about it. Bugger! It would be amazing to visit the place where Alain de Botton puts spread all his inspiration on. Not to mention this is nearby the hotel I stayed in when I visit London for the first time, 10 years ago.
London is something, anyway. And if you have time or money in your pocket, it means to be visited every time you fancy it. Next post is about London yet, but it is about the day i have visted the huge and wonderful Wembley!
